Oak Brook, Ill. – May 10, 2021 – FGM Architects (FGMA) has named Jan Behounek, AIA, as the firm’s new Higher Education Practice Leader, succeeding Joe Chronister, who is now the Managing Director of the FGMA Austin office.
In a separate announcement, FGMA appointed Scott Nall, PE, as the firm’s new Federal Practice leader.
BEHOUNEK – EXPERIENCED HIGHER EDUCATION DESIGNER
Behounek joined FGMA as a Principal in 2019 and has worked primarily on higher education projects throughout her career. She is working on projects for Northwestern University, Dominican University, Wheaton College (Ill.), and Northern Illinois University as well as a new Student Life Link Center for Waubonsee Community College.
Jan Behounek, AIA, is the new Higher Education Practice Leader at FGM Architects, headquartered in Oak Brook, Ill.
Past clients include Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, Grinnell College, Central College, and the Public Building Commission of Chicago. She is a Board Member of the Chicago Building Congress.
NALL – U.S. AIR NATIONAL GUARD VETERAN
Nall also joined FGMA as a Principal in 2019. He served more than 27 years in the U.S. Air National Guard, rising to the rank of colonel.
Scott Noll, who held the rank of colonel in the U.S. Air National Guard, will head FGMA's Federal Practice.
Nall is leading FGMA'S federal practice by obtaining increased opportunities and work in the design-build arena as well as other contract vehicles.
Since FGMA’s early days, the firm has completed hundreds of projects in the federal practice, including work for Department of Defense agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Air Force, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, and the National Guard and Reserves.
