Introducing StrXur by Bluebeam

Sasha Reed | July 19, 2017

Back in 2013, BD+C offered Bluebeam a chance to sponsor a blog.  Bluebeam in turn asked if I wanted to add blogger to my resume and boom…DIGITAL COM was born.  It was in fact one of the first sponsored blogs on bdcnetwork.com.  At first I had my trepidations, mainly because I wasn’t, and still don’t consider myself a writer.  So I started with one simple question in mind: "What if we could talk openly about our challenges, sharing real results and real failures? Wouldn’t that be refreshing?"

Well, it looks like you agreed because four years and tens of thousands of views later these conversations are still going strong! While many of the challenges we faced four years ago haven't changed, ("How do we leverage technology to improve project communication?" "How do we give access while maintaining control?" "What works, what doesn’t?") the fact is that we are in the middle of a technological revolution in design and construction and the need to have these conversations is now more pressing than ever.

Which is why I am excited to announce that we are rebranding the blog "StrXur by Bluebeam," and we are expanding the blog's voices to include not only my perspectives, but those of other Bluebeam industry experts and storytellers so we can explore more and dive deeper into today's most pressing topics. In case you hadn’t heard, StrXur.com is Bluebeam's online magazine dedicated to telling the stories of the remarkable people, relevant processes and evolving technologies that are driving innovation in the design and construction industry. As a technology company dedicated to helping this industry solve its challenges, we firmly believe our investment in hosting these types of conversations makes a difference.  While you’re busy doing the work, we’re focused on working with you to collect valuable insights and in turn create great content.  Our goal is to present unique perspectives you may not be able to find anywhere else.

Our industry is changing fast and is more complex than ever. It’s going to take more than one voice and one perspective to illuminate the path in front of us.  We’re thrilled to add more perspectives, additional voices and a new outlook to the blog so you can stay on top of the trends that are going to shape the industry for decades to come.
